मंगटे चुंगनेइजंग मैरी कॉम जो ज्यादातर एम्।सी। मैरी कॉम और साधारणतः(Ordinarily) मैरी कॉम के नाम से जानी जाती है। वे भारत की सर्वश्रेष्ठ बॉक्सर है। मैरी कॉम का जन्म पश्चिमी भारत के मणिपुर के चुराचांदपुर जिले के काङथेइ ग्राम में हुआ। उनके माता-पिता मंगटे टोनपा कोम, झूम क्षेत्र में कार्यरत थे। उन्होंने अपनी प्राथमिक शिक्षा लोकटक क्रिस्चियन मॉडल हाई स्कूल, मोइरंग में ग्रहण की और उच्च माध्यमिक शिक्षा सेंट सवीआर कैथोलिक स्कूल, मोइरंग से ग्रहण की। बादमे मैरी कॉम NIOS से ही अपनी परीक्षा देने लगी। जहा चुराचांदपुर कॉलेज से वह ग्रेजुएट हुई। बचपन से ही मैरी कॉम को एथलेटिक्स में दिलचस्पी(Interest) थी और सन् 2000 में डिंगको सिंह ने उन्हें बॉक्सर बनने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने अपना प्रशिक्षण(Training) एम।नरजित से लेना शुरू किया, जो मणिपुर राज्य के बॉक्सिंग कोच थे।
मैरी कॉम पाँच बार विश्व बॉक्सिंग चैंपियन रह चुकी है और 6 विश्व चैंपियनशिप में हर एक में मैडल जितने वाली पहली महिला बॉक्सर है। वे “शानदार मैरी” के नाम से भी जाने जाते है, वे अकेली ऐसी भारतीय महिला बॉक्सर है जिन्हें समर 2012 के ओलिंपिक में चुनाव किया गया था, उन्होंने 51 kg की केटेगरी के अंदर अपने प्रतिस्पर्धी(Competitive) को हराकर ब्रोंज मैडल जीता। AIBA की विश्व महीला पहलवान(Wrestler) की रैंकिंग में मैरी कॉम चौथे स्थान पर है। 2014 में इंचेओं, साउथ कोरिया के एशियाई खेलो में गोल्ड मैडल जितने वाली वे पहली भारतीय महिला बॉक्सर रही।

Mangte Chungneying Marie Com, who is mostly M.C. Marie Com and Ordinarily is known as Mary Com. He is India's best boxer. Mary Kom was born in Kaththeai village in Churachandpur district of Manipur, Western India. His parents were employed in Mangte Tonpa Kom, zoom area. He eclipsed his primary education locomotive Christian Model High School, Moirang, and received high secondary education at St. Svarath Catholic School, Moirang. Afterwards, Mary Com started taking her exams from NIOS itself. Where he graduated from Churachandpur College Mary Kom had an interest in athletics since her childhood, and in 2000, Dingko Singh inspired her to become a boxer. He started taking his training (Training) from M. Naranjit, who was the boxing coach of the state of Manipur.
Marie Com has been a five-time world boxing champion and is the first woman boxer to have a medal in every 6 world championships. She is also known as "the splendid Mary", she is the only Indian woman boxer who was elected in the 2012 Summer Olympics, defeating her competitor (Competitive) in the category of 51kg and won the Bronze Medal. Marie Com is ranked fourth in the ranking of world female wrestler in the AIBA. He was the first Indian woman boxer to win gold medal in Incheon, South Korea's Asian Games in 2014.
